Cherry Cobbler recipe

When cocktails first appeared, cobblers used to be made with fruit, sugar and wine as a base spirit. Not until the second half of the 19th century bartenders started experimenting with stronger bases like whiskey or gin. Fruit remains the most important ingredient of this type of drink. In those days the cobbler would be lavishly garnished with fruit; we rather add the fruity Bols Cherry Brandy and Bols Crème de Cassis into the drink, not the fruit on top!
