The Holland House recipe
A dry, slightly tart, but perfect aperitif. The Bols Genever is the base for this otherwise lemon and cherry flavoured cocktail. The history of this golden oldie is fairly uncertain to us. It could be named, or even invented, at the actual Holland House. A place where a renowned bartender, George Kappeler, used to work at in the beginning of 20th century New York. We are fairly sure though that the Bols Genever turns this drink into a close relative of the Martini predecessor, the Martinez. A dry, slightly tart, but perfect aperitif.
