About Sietse Offringa

Sietse Offringa was born and bred with whisky. His father, being an internationally acclaimed whisky writer, supplied ample knowledge and samples to educate him from an early age on. Sietse successfully applied for an internship under the tutelage of whisky legend Jim McEwan when he was only 19 years old. This fueled his passion for the king of drinks. After setting up his whisky events in the Netherlands, Edrington recruited him as Brand Ambassador in 2011. Sietse now travels the world training enthusiasts, bartenders and industry experts alike, always looking for opportunities to share a whisky and a story. In his role as expert, he also writes columns and is a contributing editor to whisky publications.
