Cocktail story

The future of cocktails will combine the new and the old, the future and the past. The classic genever bramble created with Bols genever, lemon, sugar, and creme cassis is being brought back to life in a modern approach with the Tricycle cocktail. The tricycle stays faithful to its classic ancestor by strongly leaning to the earthy and unique taste of genever, citrus and berries and also respecting the slurping of the dutch courage with the serving vessel where the modern meets the vintage.

Method

Shake and pour into the porthole to infuse with the ingredients used in the cocktail (thyme, pink grapefruit and blackberries)

Ingredients

  • 40 ml Bols Genever
  • 40 ml Citrus sherbet
  • 2 Blackberries
  • 6 twigs of thyme
  • Citrus sherbet:
  • Peels of two small pink grapefruits
  • 150 ml pink grapefruit juice
  • 100 ml lemon juice
  • 100 ml caster sugar
  • rub the pink grapefruit peels in sugar, in order to release the etheric oils. Dissolve in pink grapefruit and lemon juice. strain out the peels.

Garnish

  • Porthole functions as a visual garnish as well
